Our mission: re-inventing the foods we love
At Noquo Foods, we are on a mission to reinvent the foods we love. We are currently taking on what is most likely one of the hardest challenges in the food industry, to make a delicious cheese using only plants. By using science and technology we aim to develop plant based food alternatives that are tastier, more nutritious and more sustainable. After two years of R&D, we are getting close to launching our first product, and are now looking for someone to take on strategic business development and sales.

As the first person joining with a business development and sales hat on, you will firstly work with the product team to nail our product market fit, finalise and crystallise our value proposition as well as go to market strategy.
Secondly, you will execute on the go to market strategy taking on key strategic deals with restaurant and café chains and the broader food service industry. And to later take on key retail partners and exploring international partnerships. Building strong and lasting client relationships will be key, as well as simple and complex deal making.
Thirdly, the sales and BD team and function will need to scale. This means setting up solid ways of working, setup and manage a CRM, recruiting, potentially managing a team and much more.
It's also worth noting that being the first person in this function there will be plenty of opportunities to shape the role as the organisation grows to larger scale and internationally.
In this position you will report to myself (Sorosh Tavakoli, CEO) and naturally work very closely with the product team.
Who you are
You don’t have to be vegan, actually none of us are 100% strict about it, but we do expect you to have solid experience from the consumer goods industry, mainly within business development, marketing and sales. If you have experience in category and/or brand management, that’s naturally very helpful, as well as having worked closely with or on a C-suite level.
To be successful, we do expect you to have been part of taking a new product to market, probably in a start or scale up environment. Ideally, you have had a leading position, and are experienced enough to take the lead in our go to market journey.
The consumer goods industry is complex, competitive and fast moving. Therefore, we believe a good understanding of the dynamics of this universe is essential. It also requires a wide tool box, fact based decision making, strategic thinking and a strongly commercial mindset. A degree in Business/Marketing/Engineering, or equivalent, is probably very helpful.
This is a down-to-earth environment with sky high ambitions. So to do well, we believe you are an influencer, good communicator in both Swedish and English and a true team player that inspires confidence. We are also convinced you are a go-getter, believable with a deliberate and methodical approach.
